Having portrayed Superman, Geralt of Rivia, and even Sherlock Holmes, Henry Cavill would still recommend his entirely different movie to a first-time viewer.

Summary:

  • Henry Cavill ’s acting portfolio includes large roles like Superman, the Witcher, and Sherlock Holmes.
  • Despite that, neither of these pictures would be Cavill’s first advice for a new viewer of his work.

Henry Cavill’s acting career has led him to take over several iconic roles. He has already portrayed the most famous superhero; the most legendary monster hunter; and the most iconic detective of all time. Despite that, neither Man of Steel nor The Witcher or Enola Holmes would be Cavill’s first recommendation from his portfolio.

What can we say, the man just loves his superspy outings way more!

Henry Cavill’s Perfect Filmography Opener

Since the actor was cast as Superman back in 2011, it seems like everyone has learned his name and liking; there’s been quite some time to get acquainted with Henry Cavill’s work, granted he has starred in many different genres. But what if there are still some people who don’t know anything about the actor?

Henry Cavill knows exactly which of his movies should be the first in someone’s original journey throughout his acting career, and it’s not one of his biggest roles.

“[About the first thing I’d like them to watch,] I’m gonna try and keep it somewhat in the family. It's an old colleague of Matthew [Vaughn]’s — The Man from U.N.C.L.E. would be good,” the former DC star revealed when speaking to Collider.

It might seem counterintuitive considering the wide array of Cavill’s more popular and famous roles, but the actor’s choice actually makes perfect sense.

Henry Cavill’s the Ultimate Superspy Material

For his looks and acting chops, Henry Cavill has been eyed as the new Agent 007 even before Daniel Craig. Back then, however, the actor was considered “too young.” Now that Craig has stepped down, Cavill is admittedly “too old.” Despite his lack of luck with the James Bond franchise, the actor’s the perfect superspy material.

Guy Ritchie ’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was Henry Cavill’s best superspy outing that left fans striving for more. That’s why this movie would be perfect for a first-time viewer: there have been several Clark Kent, Geralt of Rivia, and Sherlock Holmes actors, but there has only been one Napoleon Solo — and he was brilliant.
