Nope, 'Mandalorian' Season 3 Won't Arrive Till Late 2022
Sorry 'Mandalorian' fans, it looks like Giancarlo Esposito got it all wrong – the long-awaited Season 3 will not be released this summer.
The last season aired back in 2020, so the wait for the next installment is already pretty long. When Giancarlo Esposito, starring in the series as Moff Gideon, shared his believe that the Disney + megahit will be back this summer, fans were surprised and happy.
Yet, this rumor was recently debunked by Collider's Steven Weintraub, who stated that the show won't be back until late 2022.
Which actually does make sense – the principal photography just concluded this past March, so summer release felt very unlikely. The adventures of the bounty hunter have yet to go through serious post-production, and previous seasons aired in Q4 in their respective years.
And moreover, Disney+ already boasts a pretty stacked summer Star Wars line-up, with 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' and 'Andor ' bringing a galaxy far, far away back to your screens.
Fans were not surprised by the updated release info, stating that they were glad that the third season of 'The Mandalorian ' is actually happening at all at this point.
