You never joke about your wife in public, let's make it a rule.

The Big Bang Theory has earned the love of fans by giving them one of the best storylines and characters modern television has to offer.

The four nerdy friends, who at first seemed like lost causes, became the best versions of themselves over the course of 12 seasons, succeeding in both their personal and professional lives.

The main weirdo of the sitcom, Sheldon Cooper, was portrayed in earlier seasons as the most antisocial, human-like creature you could ever imagine.

But as time went on and the people he didn't even know he needed came into his life, he truly changed and became a genuinely great person.

Seeing him grow up and meet a person he wanted to share his life with was the most unexpected and amazing thing the show has ever shown.

Sheldon and Amy's relationship has had many ups and downs, and it was not surprising to watch.

Amy has spent years trying to open Sheldon up to being a committed boyfriend. But it seems that even she never really expected him to propose and marry her.

But when he finally did, we are sure she was so happy she could scream, just like the true fans of Shamy!

Their wedding was the most highly anticipated scene of the show's season 11, so when The Big Bang Theory's prequel Young Sheldon recently made an inappropriate comment about it, it hit fans hard and really cheapened Sheldon and Amy's relationship in general.

So in episode 19 of season 6, the adult Sheldon came back as the narrator of the show. And he made a comment that actually mocked his previous particular life choice.

He said that he shouldn't have prioritized his decision to tie the knot with Amy instead of working non-stop on his science paper that won them the Nobel Prize.

The fans are sure that by saying things like that, he just wiped out all the progress he made as a human being on the parent show.

And to hear him now, after he and Amy lived happily ever after and had kids together, that he regrets making the right decision was really disappointing.

Young Sheldon season 6 airs on Thursdays on CBS. The next episode premieres May 12.
