Newest Sweet Magnolias Update Makes Those Ready to Drop The Show Reconsider 

Sweet Magnolias earned the love of a huge fandom by being this cozy little town soapy show. The series focuses on three main characters, who are also best friends: Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen, as they try to live their life and be happy.

The show premiered in 2020 and since then there have been three seasons, with the last one of them ending this summer.

Well, since it wasn’t announced at the time, fans were wondering whether they would get another season of the show, and Netflix finally made the announcement on Thursday. There is going to be season 4!

What Happened In Season 3?

It's no wonder fans have so many questions. For those who don't remember, season 3 was one of the most dramatic seasons and brought many changes to the lives of the main characters and those close to them.

Maddie was suffering from all the pain her ex-husband had caused her, but was more focused on how to make things right with Cal. Helen was also deep in the process of choosing the best man for her, but was still on the path of mistakes.

Unfortunately, the fans were not so fond of Dana Sue's character development in season 3, claiming that there was none. Yes, she came up with some great ways to help the community, but she was still a very uptight mother who wouldn't even let her daughter breathe. And her daughter Annie is actually the character that every fan roots for.

There were also some cast expansions this past season. For example, viewers finally got to see Helen's mother. The role of Bev Decatur was given to Janet Hubert and she became a much needed addition to the show.
