Season 6 ended during the heyday of the Nazi Party in Germany and the rise of fascist sentiment in Britain, so the upcoming film will likely touch on the World War II era. One of the few survivors in the series finale was Thomas Shelby himself, but he still has to deal with the survivors who tried to kill him.
