New Witcher: What Henry Cavill’s Replacement Liam Hemsworth is Famous For?
Liam Hemsworth is known for more than just being Thor's little brother.
The third season of The Witcher is already out and will be Henry Cavill 's last as Geralt of Rivia. Netflix has already announced that he will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth.
Liam first appeared on screen at the age of 16 and gained relative fame thanks to his role in the cult Australian soap opera Neighbours, where previously starred his older brother Luke.
In 2009, Liam moved to Los Angeles with his older brother Chris, where they lived in the house of a well-known agent, William Ward. Instead of paying the rent, the brothers had to sit with his children.
Liam's career started even better than Chris'. In 2010, the romantic comedy The Last Song was released, in which he starred alongside young pop star Miley Cyrus.
The movie grossed nearly $89 million at the box office, and Liam and Miley soon began dating. In the next decade, this relationship will be the main reason for the appearance of the younger Hemsworth on the covers of fashion magazines.
Things were not going well for Chris, and he was even considering returning to Australia. The role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe changed everything.
In the competition for the role of the God of Thunder, Chris passed over his younger brother, even though Liam had impressed the producers with his acting. Although, Liam was 19 years old at the time, and outwardly did not look like one of Marvel's most powerful and brutal superheroes.
But Liam was almost immediately cast in another iconic franchise – The Hunger Games. In the teenage dystopia he played Gale Hawthorne – handsome guy, revolutionary and part of the main character's love triangle.
The role in The Hunger Games became a key role in the actor's career and changed his life.
After The Hunger Games, Liam starred in several notable projects – the TV series Most Dangerous Game, where he co-starred with Christoph Waltz and Aaron Poole, in The Duel with Woody Harrelson, and in the sequel to the blockbuster Independence Day.
