K-drama fans, do you want some good news?

So far, 2024 is looking like it will be a great year for K-drama fans on Netflix. February seems to be a slower month for most new releases, and while K-dramas are no exception, there are three on their way that will ensure your February has some solid viewing.

A Killer Paradox

This supernatural, black comedy, crime thriller has so much to love. A seemingly normal college student experiences a life-changing moment one day when he gets into an altercation and accidentally kills a man. Overwhelmed with remorse, he struggles to cope until the day he learns that the man he accidentally killed was a serial killer.

Our main character soon discovers that he can see the evil that is present in others, and his remorse quickly gives way to a passion for justice as he begins his mission as a vigilante to use his power for good.

One of the most brilliant things about this show is that nothing is ever easy. It asks the tough questions, and as you follow our hero's journey, you will find your ethics and morals challenged as you ponder whether he is really doing the right thing. Never a dull moment, and absolutely amazing writing, adapted from a popular webtoon. Sure to be a hit in 2024.

Doctor Slump

For comedy that is on the lighter side, but still dark enough to maintain a strong dramatic edge, the romantic medical show Doctor Slump is your February watch. This show is already so highly anticipated, even though the first installment hasn't even aired yet! Such is the anticipation surrounding this series that fans are eagerly awaiting part two before part one has even begun.

The show focuses on a slowly blossoming relationship between two doctors who find themselves living together after being injured on the job and retiring. They share, they laugh, and as they seem to become even more disillusioned with their jobs, romance begins to blossom.

With a great cast of supporting characters, this series is sure to put a smile on your face and perhaps make you question some of your own career choices.

Queen of Divorce

This series is billed as a legal drama, but given the premise, it will almost certainly be a black comedy as well. The main character offers the service of punishing bad spouses to end unhappy marriages. As for what makes a spouse bad, that remains to be seen. But with a woman who considers herself Korea's best divorce problem solver at the center of this show, we can bet that there will be some complicated and very messy situations that she will encounter to ensure that she earns her claim to fame.

Of course, she is divorced herself, with her ex-husband, who also happens to be her ex-employer, being a central character. There is little doubt that she will encounter cases that mirror her own experiences, which may make it difficult for her to put her emotions aside.

Written by up-and-coming screenwriter Jung Hee-Sun and directed by Park Jin-Suk, who also directed 2021's Sell Your Haunted House, this series is sure to be something special.
