Netflix's New K-Drama Casts General Hospital's Star & We Can't Wait
From being the most murderous villain in a hospital soap opera and the most corrupt angel in Supernatural, Sebastian Roché makes his way to being a K-drama star.
Summary:
- On March 9, 2024, Netflix will release its new K-drama show Queen of Tears.
- The TV series will follow a young couple going through a relationship crisis.
- Sebastian Roché, the General Hospital and Supernatural star, will play Dr. Braun in Queen of Tears.
There’s not a doubt in anyone’s mind that K-dramas have been on the rise in the past few years, and Netflix is doing its damndest to lead this trend in the USA. The streaming platform indulges in creating its own K-dramas, and the upcoming Queen of Tears has one interesting actor officially joining its cast as one Dr. Braun.
Queen of Tears Gets Released in Two Weeks
When all hope seems lost, love will still find a way, and that’s what happens in Netflix’s Queen of Tears. The upcoming series follows Hong Hae-in, a department store queen, and Baek Hyun-woo, a supermarket prince, as their relationship gets tested by the ultimate crisis as they try to spark their love to life once again.
The new series is scheduled for a March 9, 2024 release on Netflix and TVING (for South Korea). Queen of Tears will make a fine addition to the streaming platform’s ever-growing K-drama library and is bound to draw attention from the American audience, especially thanks to its special star from hit domestic TV shows.
Sebastian Roché to Star in Queen of Tears
The upcoming South Korean drama has a surprising star joining its cast: Sebastian Roché, familiar to most viewers from his roles as Jerry Jacks in General Hospital and Balthazar in Supernatural. Finally, the man who was terrorizing the good doctors of Port Charles will get to dawn the white cap himself! That’s right: it seems like finally, Roché will play a good guy, but we’re not certain yet.
Sebastian Roché is set to portray Dr. Braun, a German expert who has, as the Queen of Tears’ premise puts it, “an interesting relationship with Hyun-woo and Hae-in,” the lead characters.
Would it be too bold to assume that, since he’ll be playing a doctor, Roché will be the good guy of the series? Maybe, but we’re down to make this bet.
