NCIS: Origins New Promo Photo Finally Makes Fans Happy
The upcoming show is finally making it up to its past mistakes.
Still several months away from its release, NCIS ’ brand new spinoff titled NCIS: Origins is seemingly on its way to restore its reputation and get its potential viewers’ interest back.
The show has no official release date yet, though it’s already been heavily criticized by the franchise’s lovers stating that the series is very unlikely to give young Leroy Jethro Gibbs’s accurate portrayal.
However, the show did strike back and proved all the haters wrong multiple times during the last couple of weeks, making it clear that the creators have never disregarded fans after all. Now that NCIS: Origins is getting more credit after months of backlash, everyone around is even more excited after another big update from the production set.
Following Gibbs’s career path ever since he joined the MCRT back in the 1990s, the upcoming spinoff will take a closer look at everyone in the character’s surroundings at that time, including his mentor Mike Franks.
The latter was the one to actually help Gibbs become an NCIS Special Agent and to navigate him through all the hardships of their work, but with years Franks got to be a much more meaningful person for Gibbs becoming one of his closest friends.
Both spent a lot of time working side by side and communicating in the outside-of-work life having a huge impact on each other’s lives, something that becomes pretty obvious when the original show sees Gibbs suffering after Franks’s death.
Being a crucial part of Gibbs’s career in NCIS, Mike Franks couldn’t avoid showing up in NCIS: Origins, and Muse Watson’s character is now getting a younger version played by Kyle Schmid.
There hasn’t been much promo for the show ever since it dropped a single photo of Austin Stowell as young Gibbs, yet fans are getting much bigger updates from the cast’s social media — mostly thanks to the spinoff’s actress Mariel Molino.
The latter recently took to her Instagram account posting a picture gathering her and her co-stars Kyle Schmid, Caleb Foote and Austin Stowell. A seemingly simple photo is currently having fans raving over Schmid’s look as young Mike Franks since the actor and his role’s predecessor Muse Watson look pretty much alike.
NCIS: Origins is set to kick it off on CBS this fall.
