NBC Status in March 2024: 5 Shows Renewed, 1 Pending

Though no one was expecting many surprises from NBC's renewals, it turns out the network has its own plans. While the majority of TV shows have been given the green light to continue their respective seasons, NBC is still deciding whether to keep the Law & Order show led by the fan-favorite character.

Renewed: Chicago Fire ( Season 13)

No matter how many people leave the cast, the show must go on. With all the recent changes, Chicago Fire may not feel like the show you started watching 12 years ago, but the network still has to see some promise to keep it going. Renewed: Chicago Med ( Season 10)

The latest installment, Chicago Med, is going strong as part of the One Chicago franchise as well as NBC's medical drama staple. This had to be one of the strongest contenders for the network's renewal, and fans weren't disappointed. Season 10 is on the way, and it's sure to be a journey you won't want to miss!

Renewed: Chicago P.D. (Season 12)

Getting over the loss of Chicago P.D. fan favorite Tracy Spiridakos, who portrayed Detective Hailey Upton, is definitely not going to be easy. However, NBC executives want to give the show a chance to find a new balance in the cast and see if it can move forward. After all, there is still enough crime on the streets of Chicago to deal with.

Renewed: Law & Order (Season 24)

Even though fans of the Law & Order franchise aren't that impressed with the revival of the original series so far, it must still be doing pretty well if NBC decides to keep it going for another year. Hopefully, this renewal will come with the news that a legal consultant will be added to the writing staff full-time so that Law & Order at least gets the ‘law’ part right.

Renewed: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ( Season 26)

Mariska Hargitay 's SVU will not disappear from NBC's lineup as long as the actress is willing to do the show, it seems. Without Olivia Benson, the Special Victims Unit would have felt very empty at this point, so we're hoping to see the star back for season 26. No Grey's Anatomy tricks would do with Law & Order fans!

Pending: Law & Order: Organized Crime (Season 5)

The latest Law & Order installment, which has been on the air for only 4 seasons, still has some chances to get the renewal, but the executives are holding back for their final decision. Led by Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, the show could end with him coming back to SVU. This is the only way for the viewers to let this spinoff go without a fight.
