What better way to set the mood than with a gripping mystery series, right?

There are many different genres in the world of television. Some of them are increasingly appreciated by larger groups of viewers, like romances or action-packed dramas. And there are some that are carefully crafted for niche audiences.

That doesn't mean that these types of shows are any less appreciated. In fact, series with a lot of mystery, thriller, and even science fiction always attract viewers who know something about quality. True Detective, for example, could have been a simple crime drama, but instead ended up being a brilliant blend of all of the above.

Major streaming platforms know that and that’s why they pay enough attention to shows like that. Here we have 5 shows with near perfect Rotten Tomatoes score that are a must-watch on AppleTV+.

Rotten Tomatoes: 86%

This new miniseries on streaming platform is based on the bestselling nonfiction book of the same name and revolves around one of the greatest conspiracies in the world of high-stake politics. Manhunt focuses on the 1865 assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

You may already know how it all happened, that the 16th POTUS was shot in the head. But it seems there's so much more to the story that's yet to be revealed. While there are other series with the same premise, this conspiracy fiction is definitely one of the best crafted.

Rotten Tomatoes: 92%

The show is a classic murder mystery thriller, but with a twist. Everything happens after a high school reunion party, when a couple of former classmates find themselves attached to a horrendous affair.

Now they all have to go through a hardcore grilling from a devoted detective, because in this case – everyone’s a prime suspect.

5. Calls (2021)

Rotten Tomatoes: 95%

Frankly, the series may have a greater impact on you if you know nothing about it, but well, we decided to give you a little heads up anyway. Calls is a series of interlocking stories told through... phone calls. It's a sci-fi show with a touch of mystery and even horror.

All the calls come from strangers who are trapped in the same mysterious situation, just before their lives are about to change forever because of the impending apocalypse.

“I’m really hoping for a season 2. Just binge watched 6 episodes. If it doesn’t get renewed that would be a shame. I imagine having all the big name actors might be its downfall. It’s a great concept but it’s not for the average “mainstream” watcher,” Redditor Mr_TunaCat said.
