Movies where Chris Evans is not saving the world but is still stealing our hearts.

We all know Chris Evans for his absolutely marvelous Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, there's so much more to this talented actor than just superhero movies. Chris has proved his versatility in a variety of roles that deserve a standing ovation. These five movies are the best example of what we are talking about.

1. Cellular (2004)

Cellular is nothing less than a wild rollercoaster ride, packed with action, drama, and thrill. Chris, aka Ryan in the film, pulls off some mind-blowing stunts to save an abducted woman, played by Kim Basinger.

This is a classic chase movie that'll keep you entertained from start to finish. Evans’ high-octane performance is just… wow.

2. Snowpiercer ( 2013)

After joining the MCU, Chris got the chance to explore some risky and challenging roles, and Curtis in Snowpiercer is one of them. The last of humanity is living on a train and is divided by social classes — that's quite a scenario.

This sci-fi thriller by Bong Joon Ho sees Chris playing a more nuanced hero, and it’s definitely a must-watch.

3. Not Another Teen Movie (2001)

A throwback to Chris’s early Hollywood days — we have Not Another Teen Movie. Here, Chris plays Jake Wyler, the popular high school jock, and he does charmingly so.

The film is a hilarious parody of classic teen romantic comedies, giving us a glimpse at Chris’s talent for combining charm and humor — a hint at the leading roles in his future.

4. Gifted (2017)

Directed by Marc Webb, the film features Chris as Frank, a single man raising his niece amidst a tumultuous custody battle. Alongside a stellar cast including Octavia Spencer and Jenny Slate, Chris delivers a performance that is both touching and unforgettable.

5. Knives Out ( 2019)

This one is a real treat. In Knives Out, Evans plays wealthy outcast Ransom Drysdale. It’s a joy to watch Chris transition from a charming character to a calculating baddie.

With a cast boasting names like Daniel Craig and Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris still manages to steal the show with his seductively sly performance.
