MCU's Perfect Role For Daniel Craig Still Awaits Him After His MoM Gig That Never Happened
Daniel Craig seems like the best choice for this anticipated villain.
Last month, Elizabeth Olsen confirmed the rumors surrounding the talented Daniel Craig joining the MCU.
Daniel Craig was highly speculated to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but when the movie hit the theaters, we’ve got some amazing cameos — Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier and John Krasinski as Reed Richards, but Craig wasn’t there.
As it turns out, Craig was supposed to portray Balder the Brave, half-brother of Thor, probably as a member of the Illuminati. However, for some reason, the character and Craig never made it to the film.
Fans were left disappointed as Craig himself previously said that he’s open to work in the MCU, and fans were eagerly expecting his debut.
While Balder the Brave still has chances to appear in the MCU, — for example, in Thor 5, — fans think that such an A-list actor as Daniel Craig may portray a role of a higher scale.
With each new film, the universe expands, and beloved characters come to life on the big screen. With the acquisition of FOX, it is only a matter of time when we finally see X-Men in the MCU.
One character that fans are eagerly awaiting to see in the MCU is Magneto, the powerful mutant with the ability to control magnetic fields. Fans suggest that Daniel Craig would be absolutely great in this role.
And it makes sense. Daniel Craig as Magneto would bring a fresh perspective to the character. While previous portrayals of Magneto by Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender have been highly regarded, Craig could offer a new take on the character.
Magneto possesses a certain charisma and magnetic charm that draws people to his cause. Craig has shown his ability to portray charming yet dangerous characters, making him an ideal fit for bringing out the multifaceted nature of Magneto.
However, it is too early to speculate as we don’t know how and when Marvel is going to introduce X-Men to their universe. Until then, let's keep our fingers crossed and continue speculating about what the future holds for the X-Men and the MCU.
