Re-watching the first season may bring some new details to your attention.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is a hit series on Amazon Prime, now in its fifth season. The show tells the story of a once devoted housewife, Miriam Maisel, whose life changes in an instant during the pilot episode.

Her husband, Joel, decides to leave her after bombing on stage at a nightclub where he was trying to follow his dream of becoming a stand-up comic.

In the same episode, Midge finds out that her husband's decision wasn't just because of his dream, but also because he was having a secret relationship with his secretary.

Shocked and overwhelmed by the news, Midge finds herself on stage at the same Gaslight where her ex bombed. But instead, she becomes a comedienne overnight. And her journey to stardom begins...

Throughout the show, a lot of things happen to her and those close to her. This includes her manager, Susie, and of course all of her family members, as well as some of the other characters important to the plot.

But right now, they are not the ones we want to talk about.

Fans who re-watched the first season after season 5 finally premiered noticed some things they seemed to have already forgotten.

For example, when we first meet Midge, she is giving a speech on her wedding day. A long one, with all the details of her journey to marriage with Joel.

One thing we get from her story is that they were really happy together before marriage. And during her speech she remembers a line of Joel's that hits harder after watching episode 6 of season 5 titled The Testi-Roastial.

"When Joel is having sex with Midge against the tree, he says he wants to make her laugh her whole life. Hit me hard in the feels, after what flash-forward Midge says about just wanting someone to make her laugh," Redditor Global_Eye4149 said.

Well, it turns out that even though Joel failed as a comedian, there was always one person willing to laugh at all his jokes. Too bad he didn't realize that at the time and screwed up.
