Marvel's Forgotten Hero Deserves A Second Chance in the MCU

Netflix released some of the best Marvel TV shows, according to many fans. While Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal are expected to return as Daredevil and the Punisher respectively, such heroes as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist don’t seem to join MCU anytime soon.

Iron Fist is arguably the least praised among those Netflix’s series, but fans spoke out on Reddit, and many of them think that the character should be given a second chance.

For those who need a refresher, Iron Fist is the alter ego of Danny Rand, a young billionaire who was trained in the mystical city of K'un-Lun and possesses incredible martial arts skills.

In 2017, Netflix released the Iron Fist series as part of its Marvel lineup. While it had its fair share of fans, the show received mixed reviews and faced criticism for its storytelling and fight choreography.

Despite this, Finn Jones' portrayal of Danny Rand was pretty decent, and it left fans wondering if we get to see more of the character in future MCU projects.

Where can Iron Fist appear?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings introduced us to a whole new world of martial arts and Asian representation. With its success at the box office, a sequel is undoubtedly on the horizon, and it would be a fitting movie to reintroduce Iron Fist.

Both characters have ties to the mystical side of Marvel, and their paths crossing in a future installment could be an exhilarating prospect.

While there's no official information about Iron Fist's return, the door is open for his reintroduction, given that Marvel has shown a willingness to bring characters from Netflix’s adaptations into the MCU.

On the other hand, only the most popular characters returned (or are set to return): Daredevil, Kingpin, The Punisher. Unfortunately, Iron Fist isn’t exactly as popular as these guys.

Marvel Studios may also go with a different character possessing the power of Iron Fist instead of Danny Rand. But either way, the return of Iron Fist in the upcoming MCU projects is very unlikely.
