Lucifer may have ended more than a year ago, but the show is no less firmly implanted in the hearts of its fans.

One of the most beloved shows ever, and it was its fanbase that saved it from vanishing into nothing after Fox gave up on it. Netflix picked it up due to the resounding outcry from the Lucifans and made it one of the few shows that have such a claim to fame that they were literally saved by the voracity of their fanbase.

It ran from 2016 to 2021 and introduced the world to a different kind of Devil. Not evil, in fact charming, endearing, and the perfect leading man. He came complete with adorable flaws that made everyone remain firmly on his side and want to see him succeed in everything he attempted. Based on DC's Vertigo comic character and universe, and starring insanely handsome and talented Briton Tom Ellis in the title role, it was destined to become popular.

Viewers saw a Devil that was motivated by justice. He was not pure evil. He was strangely moral in that he never lied and wanted to ensure that villains were punished. Throw him in with the beautiful, sensible, and by-the-book homicide detective Chloe Decker who is immune to his charms and the recipe is there for a brilliant, supernatural, comedy, mystery, drama, thriller, that was sure to become addictive.

Yet all is not rosy in the Lucifans' world. Despite a very worthy final season that had everyone on the edge of their seat and wrapped everything up nicely by its conclusion, fans are still debating a major mistake concerning the female lead, Chloe. Specifically, a mistake that should not have been made by her character, based on everything we know about her…

Season six resolved around Lucifer and Chloe's daughter time-travelling from the future to seek revenge on her father for abandoning her. Following the reveal that Chloe is pregnant with her future baby, eagle-eyed fans spotted her doing the unthinkable… drinking alcohol.

Worse, it was not merely a sip, it was enough to cause her to become at least slightly intoxicated.

Everything the show had demonstrated about Chloe up to this point was that she was level-headed, strong, responsible, and a wonderful mother to her daughter, Trixie. There is no way a woman like Chloe would consume alcohol while pregnant; the very notion is just unthinkable.

While some fans have argued that she knew she was pregnant with an angel, therefore likely assumed that booze would not harm her unborn daughter, this simply does not wash. It goes against her core values of being completely rational and logical, not to mention being a loving and amazing mother. A huge blunder to be sure, and one that Lucifans are still definitely not over.
