Looks Like General Hospital Got Itself a New Villain, But Fans Are Not Having It

Spencer Cassadine's behavior in the last few episodes makes fans think that he is now the main villain of the show. And apparently the writers want us to feel his rage through the television.
It's the only explanation for why they would give so much screen time to his diabolical storyline.
The first thing is the hospital scene with Esme and the baby. The way he yelled at her scared even us…
"Does he have no filter? No brain that tells him that maybe he shouldn't yell in front of a baby like that? That maybe the best thing for Ace is to be with his mother? The guard should have thrown him out," Reddit user jaylee-03031 said.
Spencer thinks he has some right to fight for the baby, but the whole fandom is sure that he does not. It feels like he wants to steal the baby from its mother.
And indeed, he seems to treat little Ace like a possession that he just wants and feels entitled to. And what's more, he has the nerve to accuse Esme of not wanting the baby. And fans are definitely hating it.
But what drives the audience crazy is the fact that Laura is on Spencer's side and not Esme's. But remember when she told Kevin (almost crying) how much Esme loved the baby?
Something happened to that Laura. And now the only person left to be the dealbreaker is apparently Kevin.
"I don't think Spencer knows how to love. In true entitled Cassadine fashion it's all about what he wants and deserves. and even though Laura is acting on a personal level, there's something so extra wrong with her trying to steal a baby while she's the mayor. and yes, it is stealing before anyone comments since there hasn't been a dna test," Reddit user coyotrain said.
