The only one that finally worked in the best possible way.

The Simpsons has proven to be one of the most famous and successful cartoon series of all time. Premiered in 1989, the show still keeps fans captivated and hooked on the plot.

Like almost every show, The Simpsons also uses A-list actors in the show. But as it turns out, their attempts to use these cameos weren't the best.

Famous people's cameos in The Simpsons unfortunately ruined the episodes they were in.

Over the many years that the show has been on air, the producers have cast a lot of stars in the series. But the thing is, they were always portraying themselves.

And most of the time it was just boring and even gimmicky, because the plot seemed kind of forced at that time.

The episodes like Lisa Goes Gaga in season 23, and The Musk Who Fell to Earth that was in season 26 were really criticized for their groveling attitude towards these celebrities, but also for their almost completely plotless structure.

So maybe all these years before finally airing season 34, the creative team of the show was brainstorming about how to get a cameo that would blow the fans' mind (in a good way).

And they actually have managed to do so with Lizzo's appearance in the series season 34 finale.

The secret was really on the surface. Lizzo was given a dual role in the episode. First, she was introduced as a fictional character, a happy little elf doll named Goobie Woo.

The point of having a character was actually to create a tool to talk Homer through an existential crisis. The second time in the same episode, in the end, Lizzo actually played herself. But in a much more "realistic" way.

The Simpsons family appeared with Lizzo in a meta-universe where they were just having fun jamming and recording their songs.

So in this way, The Simpsons introduced a clever solution for guest stars who are not very comfortable as actual actors, and this approach could help other famous guest stars in the coming days.
