DC’s iconic character may be reborn in a completely new vision.

Though we’re still months away from seeing Todd Philips’ highly anticipated sequel Joker: Folie À Deux, more and more details about the upcoming potential hit have been trickling in, teasing fans about how Joker’s storyline will unfold this time.

Philips’ Joker started his lone adventure through the madness of Gotham City back in 2019, but now he will get a pretty much expected company after finding his true soulmate in Arkham Asylum therapist Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn.

In this case, DC fans might be quite reassured about what to expect from Lady Gaga ’s portrayal of Joker’s evil girlfriend, though the actress doesn’t seem to share the same thought.

Talking about her brand new concert movie Gaga Chromatica Ball that hit Max a few days ago, Lady Gaga couldn’t avoid all those questions about her other major project coming to the theaters this fall.

The actress revealed that despite the already existing general image of Harley Quinn, her own interpretation is far from being the same as “my version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters.”

Gaga also added that Todd Philips’ Joker: Folie À Deux has turned out to be something completely new in her acting career, although she definitely appears to be an experienced actress by now, and later on teased that “it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.”

Right now there’s no reason to question Lady Gaga’s words, as the movie’s first screenings for a limited number of professionals proved Philips’ different take on the widely famous story of two enamored villains.

The sequel will presumably offer a better perspective for Joker who’s been desperate for an understanding companion throughout the whole first movie.

Joker: Folie À Deux is set to hit cinemas worldwide on October 4.
