Keanu Reeves Has Always Wanted to Play This Marvel Superhero, Never Got a Call
Have you ever wondered how Keanu Reeves would've looked in your typical superhero suit? Well, according to them, he's been curious about that himself for years, but Marvel never called him.
Keanu Reeves ' career has been packed with action for as long as anyone can remember. From The Matrix to John Wick, Keanu's always been out there crashing bad guys and helping good guys, and as time passes, that doesn't change. Even considering his impressive resume, there's one thing the actor's missed, though.
How come has no one ever seen one of Hollywood's most acclaimed action actors in an actual superhero suit? With how strong this genre has been going in this century, it's pretty mind-blowing that Keanu Reeves hasn't yet joined one of the major franchises and gotten some crazy abilities to aid him in his quest to save the world.
This topic isn't new as the actor's fans have been speculating about him joining either Marvel or DC for many years now, and the fan casts have been going on forever. But admittedly, Keanu himself has never been against joining a superhero franchise, and there's even one character he's been wanting to play for a long time.
Recently, the actor was hosting an Ask Me Anything session on the biggest movie-related subreddit r/movies, and among other answers, Reeves revealed the superhero he'd been wanting to overtake for many years — and never got the chance to. This was after a fan asked him about turning down a superhero role.
"No [I haven't turned out superhero roles that I regret], but I did always want to play Wolverine," Keanu shared.
While a somewhat unexpected choice of a character, when you think about it, this superhero beautifully fits Reeves' style — and his playing Wolverine would've allowed for even more sick action sequences than we're used to in Keanu's movies. Hugh Jackman is great, but now, we can't stop regretting that Keanu never got the call from Marvel for this role.
