Kang Actor Reveals His Top 3 MCU Flicks, And It's Better Than Thanos's Choices
Thanos may have wiped out half the universe, but Kang's top MCU picks have wiped out the competition.
Jonathan Majors is going to play Kang the Conqueror in MCU. While for now Kang has only appeared briefly in the Loki Disney Plus series, he is going to have a really big role in Phases 5 and 6 of the MCU. In fact, this villain, infamous for his time travelling and cooperating with alternative universe variants of himself, appears poised to replace Thanos as the overarching big bad of the shared universe for the next mega-arc. So, it is interesting for many fans to see how his actor perceives MCU so far. Certainly, him saying that he loves MCU as a whole is only expected, but what are his specific takes on it?
Recently Majors provided some.
When asked what MCU movie is his favorite, he answered (via):
"The first Iron Man. Ok, can I do top three? Black Panther 1 and [Avengers] Endgame."
Well, everyone has one's own favorites. And compared to tastes of Josh Brolin, who provided voice and motion capture for Thanos, Majors' opinion can be considered superior.
Daredevil Fans Would Rather Cancel Born Again Altogether
Notably, the first pick of the two actors was identical: Iron Man 1. But the other two places of Brolin's top three were Captain American: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, as if he tried to pick a couple of movies controversial among the fans in a row.
Or maybe Brolin just liked movies which forced heroes to face friction, setbacks and long-term negative consequences. Majors, on the other hand, preferred more classic, upbeat superhero stories, even choosing Endgame over Infinity War.
Nevertheless, Majors perceives his villainous character as a multidimensional, fascinating bad guy.
"It was the character and dimensions of Kang [that drew him to the role]. And the potential that it had. I thought, I'll take a chance on that." (via)
And he worked hard preparing himself for the role, putting on more muscle and training to perform as many of his stunts personally as possible.
Kang the Conqueror's next appearance will occur in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, to be released on February 17, and probably that movie will truly start setting up the foundation for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, expected to hit the screens in 2025. If Majors acting skills are going to be on par with his enthusiasm and hard work, MCU fans are in for a real treat.
