Much to the fans’ disappointment, it’s barely feasible.

The Big Bang Theory ’s no less successful prequel Young Sheldon officially came to its end several days ago, and fans are already eager to know what the franchise’s creators will be up to next.

Though there’s indeed a plan for yet another spinoff show which now will focus on Sheldon Cooper’s brother Georgie and his family, it still doesn’t get as much of a fuss as when it comes to Sheldon’s figure as a whole.

Now that Young Sheldon is surely over, the titular character’s actor is determined to dispel all the doubts about Sheldon’s future on the screen.

Young Sheldon’s finale was pretty much clear about where the adult Sheldon Cooper stands in life after The Big Bang Theory’s ending back in 2019. The prequel set up a sweet reunion of two versions of the character, portrayed by Iain Armitage and Jim Parsons, with the latter also serving as one of the producers and the main narrator of the show.

Parsons made his entrance in Young Sheldon alongside his on-screen wife Mayim Bialik who portrays Amy Farrah Fowler and, as the characters kept discussing Sheldon’s memoir that he’s been writing all along, the viewers are provided with more details of their further life after getting married in the original show’s season 11.

Young Sheldon’s ending proves that Amy and Sheldon are still living happily in a Los Angeles suburban area raising two children.

Despite the series’ evident closure for the beloved character’s arc in the franchise, many fans would still love to see Sheldon on the screen again, though adult Sheldon’s actor Jim Parsons doesn’t share the same opinion.

Caught by E! News at the Drama League Awards recently, Parsons admitted that he would be reprising his most prominent role only if he was reincarnated in the “next lifetime.”

Though the actor then clarified that he never says never to what the future holds, but still looked very reassured about the fact that his comeback to Sheldon’s role won’t happen anytime soon.
