Jim Parsons Talks Young Sheldon Finale’s Most Anticipated Cameo & Reunion
Seems like the little Sheldon will get an exciting visit from The Big Bang Theory’s favorite couple.
Summary:
- Though The Big Bang Theory ’s story has been over for 5 years now, the prequel’s one still lives on with the Young Sheldon ’s finale season being broadcast now.
- The Young Sheldon’s finale, to be released in May, will mark the appearance of two key characters from the original show.
- So far there’s not so much to say about how exactly the famous characters will be portrayed as no other plot details for the series’ ending have been revealed.
Even though Jim Parsons’s decision behind finally quitting The Big Bang Theory back in 2019 was more than tough due to some personal difficulties, he would never turn his back from the fan-favorite character of the show.
For more than 10 years Parsons has been reprising his iconic role of shrewd scientist Sheldon Cooper, and now, when the original show is over, he’ll pay a visit to his younger self in the sequel Young Sheldon — and will bring one more guest with him.
While talking to the hosts of one of Today’s show episodes, Parsons didn’t reveal any additional plot details for the Young Sheldon’s finale, but yet made another announcement that got fans even more excited.
The actor will appear in the prequel’s last season’s ending alongside The Big Bang Theory’s co-star Mayim Bialik who portrayed Sheldon Cooper’s girlfriend and then wife Amy in the original show.
The finale of Young Sheldon will not be released until May 16 as the other episodes of the last season keep coming out since February.
Nonetheless, the fans can already mark their calendars and not for just one reason — apart from the fact that the series’ ending will show Jim Parsons’ first comeback as grown-up Sheldon Cooper since the original show ended, it will also mark the original characters’ first appearance in the prequel.
The actor also mentioned that he was glad to return to his most famous character once again and the reunion with Mayim Bialik was sweet, though “different enough that it wasn’t creepy”.
The question of how exactly the actors will reprise their roles still remains, though it’s just a matter of time.
