Jessica Knight’s Actress Has So Many Options for Her Character’s Future in NCIS Season 22

It’s definitely a hard time for NCIS lovers who are still several months away from finally getting to see what the show’s season 22 has prepared for them. The finale of the latest installment left many things uncertain, including two major cliffhangers, one of which made everything even more unclear regarding Jessica Knight’s possible departure from the series.

Though the character seemed pretty excited about her big offer that would fulfill her biggest dream and take her away from the MCRT to the other side of the country, Knight’s actress doesn’t seem so reassured about her character’s final decision.

Following the NCIS season 21 finale that aired around a month ago, Katrina Law reflected on Jessica’s possible future on the show should she stay in the main storyline. Expected to unveil some more details that would hint at the next season’s turn of events, the actress instead made quite an ambiguous revelation saying that “the writers said that they were going to bring me back, but they lie sometimes, so we’ll see what happens.”

Law later on admitted that she wouldn’t really believe in Jessica’s departure once and for all, as there definitely had to be some drama concerning her promotion and what she was about to sacrifice if she eventually opted for her career boost.

According to the actress, the viral theory about Knight’s eventual return to her original position after some time spent away from it is still a very possible option, as “maybe she… realizes that she truly loves her NCIS team or maybe that she doesn’t want to do a long-distance relationship, or maybe she just wants to be back in a relationship with Jimmy full-time.”

Law also added that there can actually be a whole variety of ideas of how to bring her character back, including the one where the MCRT would need urgent help from Jessica and call her back.

NCIS season 22 is set to finally put all the cards out on the table this fall on CBS.
