Jessica Knight May Not Leave NCIS at All (In a Way)
An ambiguous job offer comes with much more opportunities than anyone could imagine.
NCIS ’ fans are getting ready to bawl their eyes out when the show’s season 22 will finally arrive, since there seems to be no real way for Jessica Knight’s biggest drama to be handled without some certain sacrifices.
NCIS’ latest season ended on a major cliffhanger suggesting that Jessica now has to face a dilemma, choosing either her dream job that will send her to California or rather Jimmy Palmer with whom she’s been in a relationship for a while.
Though many still have their fingers crossed for Jessica and Jimmy’s romance to keep blooming without any possible threat, they still see the high chances of Jessica’s departure from the series for good.
However, there’s no need to say goodbye to the beloved character this soon since she might be staying with us for longer than everyone expects.
While keeping themselves busy by exploring all possible twists and turns for Jessica and Jimmy’s relationship, NCIS fans must have forgotten that Jessica’s brand new job comes with major benefits that may help her stay in the series, despite the fact that her appearances still might not be that frequent.
Since the character has accepted a new position in the REACT team as the Chief Training Officer, her promotion implies much vaster duties and thus suggests a better connection to all of NCIS departments, as the REACT team is still a significant part of NCIS.
Should Jessica have to stay in touch with her former colleagues, she may get a chance to have business trips to Washington, D.C. which would also come as an opportunity to reconnect with her friends in the MCRT.
Additionally, the NCIS franchise has spent years doing tricks with cameos and crossovers within its universe, thus making it clear that Jessica’s return to the MCRT every so often wouldn’t be a very difficult thing to feature in the upcoming season.
Considering that the character may not lose her connections at her former workplace, she can also seize an opportunity to compromise with Jimmy regarding their romance, and things eventually might not be as bad as NCIS’ fans are currently expecting them to be.
NCIS’ season 22 will premiere on CBS this fall.
