Jennifer Lawrence Went Unhinged on Set of Hunger Games, Knocked Co-Star Out

Jennifer Lawrence is known for many things: first of all, she’s an incredibly talented actress who won her first Oscar at a very young age and has a phenomenal track record; second of all, she’s a very fun and lighthearted person with contagious laughter and exactly zero stop signals when it comes to embarrassing stories.

Actors who happened to work with J-Law usually point out three things: how much she curses all the time, how emotional she is, and how much irrepressible energy she has. Surely, Lawrence has one too many fun stories that revolve around these traits of hers to tell…but sometimes, this leads to pretty predictable disasters.

For one, Jennifer Lawrence knocked out her Hunger Games co-star, Josh Hutcherson, unconscious, and sent him straight to the hospital when she went for one of those classic “hold my beer” ninja moves.

“She was being a real show-off, thinking that she was Jackie Chan or something… [She was] throwing these air kicks and was like, ‘Josh, I can kick over your head!’ And then crack! She clipped me in the temple… I don’t really remember because I got knocked out. She was crying. She felt terrible. I woke up with her [crying], laying over me,” Hutcherson told Yahoo! Movies.

After the hit, Josh Hutcherson woke up in a hospital with his clumsy co-star crying over him. Jennifer Lawrence was devastated by how badly her “fun” idea ended, and for the next few weeks, she was nothing but apologetic next to Josh… In the end, however, she remained the same good old J-Law we all love and value.

But just as a heads-up, if you ever hear “Hold my beer!” in an elusively familiar Katniss Everdeen voice somewhere close, don’t waste any time and duck for cover. J-Law might just knock you out…especially, if you are not her initial target.
