The trailer for the new comedy No Hard Feelings starring Jennifer Lawrence not only set a record for the most original comedy's trailer views, but also caused a wave of criticism among viewers.

The heroine is in danger of losing her car and house due to debts. She goes looking for quick cash and finds a respectable rich couple looking for a woman who will agree to date their son.

The guy is about to jump out of the parental nest into adulthood in college, and he is still uptight and shy, so mom and dad want their son to loosen up a bit. The heroine's attempts to make a man out of a boy lead to many hilarious situations.

However, some viewers assumed that the basis of the plot is not a subject for jokes at all.

According to the plot, the main character is nineteen years old, and although the age of the Lawrence's heroine is unknown, she is clearly much older than him.

"12 year difference between a man and woman is disgusting. if the man was 12 years older than the woman people would be screaming for him to be put in jail," Twitter user Emperor1G commented.

Jennifer Lawrence ' character is accused of grooming, which is defined as the long-term establishment of close, trusting relationships with a child by adults in order to gain trust and subsequent seduction.

However, what happens in the movie does not fall under this definition. The age of consent in the US varies from 16 to 18 (depending on the jurisdiction), and the main character is older, which is clearly stated in the trailer.

Although clouds are gathering around the comedy, fans are confident that the release will go well, as many have missed mid-budget light comedies, as well as Jennifer Lawrence.
