Jenna Ortega’s Mother Was Actually The Reason She Ended Up In Iron Man 3
Mother knows best!
It is now we have Jenna Ortega as the greatest Wednesday and Scream star. But it was a time when only few people knew about how talented she actually was. And it seems like her first ever fan was her mother.
Even as a young girl, Jenna made her mother believe that she could be more than just an ordinary child. When the actress' mother uploaded a video of Jenna performing a riveting monologue to Facebook, it quickly caught the attention of a family friend who had some sort of connection to a casting agent.
This accidental social media post was actually a pivotal point in the actress' life, as she was about to be signed by a talent agency at the age of 9. Thus, Ortega’s career started to look up.
The girl started with the role in the short-lived series Rob and then made guest appearances on CSI: NY. But as itt turned out it was just the beginning before the first “big break” in the movie industry.
At the age of 10, she got the role in the MCU movie and shared the screen with Robert Downey Jr. himself! She became a part of Iron Man 3, playing the Vice President's daughter. And although her character wasn't even given a name, it was a huge step for the young star.
In Iron Man 3, Ortega's character's father, Vice President Rodriguez, was in cahoots with Aldrich Killian to stage a takeover. Rodriguez hoped that Aldrich Killian's Extremis program would help his daughter, who was disabled and had lost a limb.
Ortega's role in Iron Man was more than just a plot point; it was a pivotal moment in her burgeoning career, confirming her status as a rising star in the industry. Now look at her, spearheading one of the world’s biggest and most beloved Netflix shows!
