Jason Momoa Says His 'Fast and Furious' Villain is "Androgynous and Sadistic"
It's unusual for Momoa to play a villain – and his first attempt is also quite outstanding.
For those of you who are still ready to give yet another 'Fast and Furious' movie a watch, there is something big to check out: Jason Momoa will be portraying a villain in this one, and his character is definitely going to be interesting.
According to Momoa, his villain will be "sadistic" and "androgynous".
"He's a bit of a peacock … He's got a lot of issues, this guy. He's definitely got some daddy issues," Momoa teased when speaking with Variety.
The 'Aquaman ' star appears to revel in the fact that he can "finally" portray a bad guy. Up to this point, Momoa played superheroes and warriors; but the tenth installment of 'Fast and Furious' is going to change that.
There are still few details about his character, however. What we do know is that he is going to face off Vin Diesel 's Dominic Toretto and his family. 'Fast X' is going to bring back Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, while also having Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, and even Cardi B.
An estimated production budget for 'Fast X' is $300 million, which makes it the fifth most expensive film ever made. Louis Leterrier is set to direct the long-anticipated tenth movie.
'Fast X' is set to premiere on May 19, 2023, with a sequel planned for February 2024.
