This delightful Mark Ruffalo / Kiera Knightly movie is criminally underrated, perhaps because it dances across so many genres. The music is genuinely good, and the script is genuinely moving.

Why Is Netflix Losing These Movies?

In order to stream any movie or television show, Netflix must pay out of pocket for the content. Sometimes that means producing shows and movies itself, but most of the time the streaming giant pays a set amount of money for exclusive streaming rights. That can add up to astronomical amounts – Netflix paid a reported $100 million for the rights to Friends in 2015.

Unfortunately, even Netflix has a budget. Once movies and shows come to the end of their agreed upon term, the streamer must decide to pay more for the rights, or move on to new content. Unfortunately for the movies on our list, their time has come.
