Case in point being the recent revelation that the actress made in an interview with IndieWire.
The action part of True Lies has been executed impeccably by all parties involved, Lee Curtis being no exception. As it turns out, a couple of scenes were pretty rough to film.
Namely, the limousine car chase scene that was filmed at high speed, and the famous helicopter sequence. Lee Curtis shared in the interview just how committed she was to do the stunts herself.
"I was willing to do all of it… that type of work: I have zero fear," she told about her experience filming those high-octane scenes.
There was however just one specific safety precaution the actress insisted on having.

That is, having a knife embedded in props at the ready, in case she would need to cut herself free of the ropes holding her in place, both in limousine and in helicopter.
So, in the unfortunate case that limousine was to drop off the bridge, or helicopter was to go down in the ocean, Lee Curtis would have had a knife to cut herself out and escape.
The sheer level of commitment and investment the actress had to the role proved again just how skilled, talented, and willing to go above and beyond she is as a performer. Not that anyone was doubting that.
