Last month’s biggest hit show is still on top though.

Summary:

  • After weeks of domination in Prime Video ’s top 10 chart, Fallout has been officially put down to the second position as the streaming’s brand new arrival takes the first place over.
  • Starring Josh Brolin, the show follows a rancher who discovers a giant mysterious hole on his land while some of his rivals are making attempts to misappropriate his ranch.
  • The series’ second season arrived at the platform several days ago, yet still succeeded in impressing both critics and viewers.

Fallout has been Amazon Prime’s sweetheart for quite a long time now since the post-apocalyptic drama series was dropped on the streaming platform back in April, but now it’s a new arrival’s time to shine.

According to the FlixPatrol’s most recent data, Fallout went a bit down to the second position in this week’s top 10 chart as the Josh Brolin-led sci-fi Western show Outer Range has climbed to the first place.

With its first season released in 2022, Outer Range is back to streaming with its second installment that, surprisingly, took a whole 2 years to arrive. After its official release on May 16, Outer Range was very quick to become Prime’s most-watched series to-date as within 3 days the show already took Fallout’s chart position.

What Is Outer Range About?

Starring Josh Brolin as a ranchman, Outer Range follows Royal Abbott who, in a constant fight for his proper land, suddenly discovers a huge and mysterious void in the midst of his ranch. Abbott reckons that the giant hole has something to do with Autumn, a weird young woman who is suspiciously frequent to pass by the ranch.

Meanwhile Abbott seems to be facing much bigger problems as he has to deal with his daughter-in-law’s mysterious disappearance and the rival family’s plans to take over the Abbotts’ land.

Apart from being the viewers’ top choice on Amazon Prime right now, Outer Range’s season 2 is also doing well with critics. Though it’s been less than a week since it arrived at the streaming, the second season still holds a solid score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is even better than the first installment with 79% so far.

The show’s glowing success with both critics and viewers gives good chances for a third season, though Josh Brolin isn’t that enthusiastic about all this. The actor previously revealed that he isn’t into the idea of portraying the same character over and over again, but for Outer Range he might make an exception.

The second season’s performance during the upcoming weeks will surely foresee whether the actor will have to go for a compromise or not.
