He added even more comedy to an already incredibly funny show.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has been on the air for 18 years, and it's far from over. In nearly two decades, the series has given fans many unforgettable jokes and hilarious situations.

And viewers have finally decided who is the show's best character.

The troubled Paddy's Pub gang includes the calculating Dennis, the goofy Mac, the simple-minded Charlie and the downtrodden Dee. Throughout the first season, this foursome gave fans more than one absurd episode. But in the next installment, the gang got a new member — Frank, played brilliantly by the legendary Danny DeVito.

As the father of Dennis and Dee, Frank instantly won the hearts of viewers with his eccentric character and hilarious antics. Fans praise DeVito for his fearlessness, as taking part in such a project could have severely damaged his reputation — It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is an incredibly crude series with plenty of black humor. But the actor's talent and amazing comedic timing took the show to a new level.

DeVito plays a millionaire who is tired of life, disappointed in his past existence and decides to spend his retirement on the edge. He starts a bar business, gets involved in various gang schemes and squats in a small room with Charlie.

Frank is not limited by morals and social norms, because his main goal is to have fun, which he provides not only to the gang, but also to the audience.

Frank has become the necessary catalyst that ties together all of the action at Paddy's Pub. Whether it's a beauty pageant the character has accidentally set up among young children, or finding new ways to make money after the global financial crisis.

Frank is no stranger to pretending to have AIDS so he can ride all the slides at a water park without waiting in line, or having a beer marathon while flying across America.

Audiences love Frank for his unvarnished honesty. He has no filter and is not afraid to speak his mind, often causing discomfort and embarrassment to those around him without fear of judgment or repercussion.

The dynamic of the character's relationship with the rest of the gang is a great source of fun. Frank's presence adds a chaotic energy to the group dynamic as his contrasting personality clashes with the others, creating hilarious conflicts and memorable interactions.
