Let’s just hope they’ll manage to handle the issue better.

Although Game of Thrones was a truly iconic show for its time, it still faced many problems along the way and was heavily criticized by the media and viewers throughout its run. The vast majority of the negative reviews were related to the show's heartbreaking but poorly-written finale, but the rest was sprinkled throughout all eight seasons of the show.

One of the things that got Game of Thrones a lot of (mostly unwanted and harmful) attention was the scene of forced intercourse that Sansa Stark had to endure.

The problem wasn't the scene itself, although it was very disturbing to watch, but the fact that audiences didn't feel comfortable that Sophie Turner did a sex scene at all.

The actress was only 15 years old when she joined the Game of Thrones cast as her character Sansa Stark. Although she has grown a lot, both physically and mentally, while going on a journey that the show has prepared for her, it was still strange for the majority to think of her as a fully grown woman when it came to intimacy.

Now, as for Bridgerton, there are still two characters on the show who are underage but may be in the romantic spotlight later on.

The love stories of both Hyacinth and Francesca Bridgerton are covered in Julia Quinn's books, so if Shonda Rhimes succeeds in her plan to make eight seasons of the show, they will have to show young actresses involved in some romance-heavy moments.

One way to make things better is to push the younger siblings' stories towards the end of the show, both actresses will be in their early 20s at the time of filming. However, viewers may still perceive them as too young to show too much.

And knowing how much Shondaland loves a good raunchy scene, it's safe to say that nothing will be made PG just because of the audience’s concerns.

Another solution to this problem would be to recast the characters with older actresses. Although this is a common practice in the film industry and Francesca Bridgerton has already been recast, it's not always the best decision and could also cause a backlash.

At that point, it would be a choice between which of the reasons for becoming public enemy #1 among Bridgerton fans Shonda Rhimes would prefer.

Fortunately, we're still years away from that dilemma. For now, the fandom is patiently waiting for the release of season 3, so keep an eye out for any important news or updates.
