Hugh Grant Reveals His Biggest Regret on Dungeons & Dragons Movie
Let's just say that someone did a Christian Bale.
We all have moments when we deeply regret snapping at someone, even for a completely innocent reason. Actors (especially them!) are no exception, many of whom have quite a bad temper.
Take Edward Norton, for example, with his incredibly over-the-top demands, or Jared Leto, who sent dead animals to his fellow Suicide Squad colleagues.
A similar thing happened to Hugh Grant during the filming of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
The English actor, known for his roles in classic romcoms and dramas, has long been perceived as a man with an explosive temperament and a penchant for fighting with paparazzi, crew members and fellow actors.
But this time, the flamboyant heartthrob seems to regret his sudden outburst of petulance.
Grant told Total Film (via Yahoo Entertainment) magazine that on the set of the new movie Dungeon & Dragons, based on the fantasy role-playing game of the same name, he scolded a random person who caught his eye.
"I assumed she was some executive from the studio who should have known better. Then it turns out that she's an extremely nice local woman who was the chaperone of the young girl. Terrible", the actor confessed.
The exact reason why he suddenly started to scold remains unknown. In any case, it seems that we should not be jealous of the people who have to work with him.
Hugh Grant also compared his behavior to that of Christian Bale ( although he could point to his own misdeeds, and not someone else's).
During the filming of Terminator: Salvation in 2008, he verbally abused a colleague, causing a huge scandal and forcing the actor to issue an official apology.
So, folks, don't take it out on passersby, even if you're a famous British actor. You might not only scare the people you're mad at, but random children as well.
You might end up "groveling", as Grant said. That's how they go from sweet romcom heroes to terrifying antagonists who threaten talking bears.
We still love Hugh Grant, despite his arrogant attitude, though! The most important thing is that he sincerely regrets what happened. In the upcoming movie based in the D&D Multiverse, the actor will play the main antagonist.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be released on March 31.
