How Many Seasons Will There Be in Mayor of Kingstown?
Here’s what we know about Jeremy Renner-led TV show’s future plans.
Ever since its premiere in 2021, Mayor of Kingstown has been going strong. The TV show brought Jeremy Renner, the Avengers star, back into action, and captivated the audience with its dark, grim, and properly violent setting. After Season 3’s premiere, fans can’t help but anticipate the next entry — but how many will there be?
Season 4 hasn’t already been greenlit but has good odds of happening: the show’s quality has only been increasing so far, and fans absolutely loved Season 3.
Furthermore, the Mayor of Kingstown’s showrunners revealed their big plans for the series: Hugh Dillion and Taylor Sheridan are looking at at least four more seasons.
“Season 7, that’s when Taylor and I will end it,” Dillion explicitly said in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
So hopes are pretty high for this TV show, and its creators have enough ideas to keep it running for quite a few more years. If the quality keeps growing as steadily as it has been so far, Rotten Tomatoes might run out of scoreboard by Season 5!
Mayor of Kingstown: How to Watch
You can stream Mayor of Kingstown on several platforms, including Paramount Plus, Hulu, and Prime Video. All three streaming services have all three seasons, so it all boils down to which subscriptions you already have. Alternatively, you can also watch the Jeremy Renner-led TV show on JustWatch, Roku, or DirecTV online.
Mayor of Kingstown: Where Is It Filmed
As with many other TV shows, Mayor of Kingstown’s fans have always been curious whether the series’ primary location, Kingstown, Michigan, is a real place or not. And as with many other TV shows, it’s halfway there: the town which serves as the centerpiece of the series is a fictionalized version of Kingston, Ontario in Canada.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 1 was filmed entirely in Ontario, Canada, specifically in the cities of Toronto, Hamilton, and Scarborough. Seasons 2 & 3 took a major part of principal photography to the US, shooting many of their scenes in Scarborough, Pennsylvania, and their numerous water scenes being filmed on Lake Erie.
