House of the Dragon Season 3 Gets a Fiery Update
The bloody war is far from being over yet.
It surely didn’t come as something truly unexpected, though it’s still great news for the biggest fantasy drama’s fans. Game of Thrones ’ epic prequel House of the Dragon has just been renewed for a third season ahead of the second installment’s premiere that is set to hit Max this Sunday.
HBO’s groundbreaking series has reached a whole new level with its upcoming season 2 and is seemingly aiming at an even bigger perspective in the near future.
According to Variety, the hit show based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood is once again expected to be a record breaker after its first season garnered around 29 million viewers per episode back in 2022, leaving a vast space for the next season’s immense popularity.
What Will House of the Dragon Season 3 Be About?
The newly announced third installment has no particular details yet, though HBO’s programming and drama series chief Francesca Orsi appears to be reassured in House of the Dragon’s continuous successful run for years to come as she stated that the entire team “could not be more thrilled to continue the story of House Targaryen and watch this team burn bright again for season three”.
Coming as Game of Thrones’ prequel, House of the Dragon takes a closer look at House of Targaryen and their allies some 200 years before Daenerys embarked on her determined fight for the Iron Throne in the original show.
The prequel’s upcoming season 2 will find its lead characters at the very center of a huge family crisis that soon is set to get transformed into a full-scale war between the Blacks and the Greens led by Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower respectively.
House of the Dragon Season 3 Premiere Date
There’s no potential release date for House of the Dragon’s season 3 yet, but the second installment will arrive at Max already on June 16.
