Trying to fit everything in one season doesn't really seem like the greatest idea.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is a show that has fans all over the world. The secret of the show is its frankly unusual plot. The show focuses on the career of a young woman living in New York in the 50s.

Midge Maisel was once a devoted housewife whose only job was to look good and be a proper Jewish woman. She succeeded at everything, but still somehow ended up in a failed marriage.

Her husband Joel was sure that his failure as a comedian was her fault. But the real reason was much simpler: he was cheating on her and wanted to leave.

However, the plot became much more complicated than just a story about a divorced family. Midge somehow found out that she has a perfect sense of humor and could be a successful comedienne.

With the help of her manager Susie, her journey to stardom begins.

For four seasons, the writers took them there, showing every bump in the road that Midge and Susie had to overcome. And so we came to season 5, which will be the last for the show.

Season 5 is actually a lot more different than the previous ones. Each episode that has already aired has had a flashforward scene showing each character's life in the future.

So we already know that Midge is going to be really famous, she and Susie are going to have a big fight, Joel is going to go to jail, Ethan is going to live in Israel and the list goes on.

While almost all fans enjoyed finding out what the future held for their beloved characters, there were many fans who felt that all these time jumps were unnecessary because they gave the fans more irrelevant information than they needed.

Also, the fans understood that since it was the last season, the writers had to put it all together and mix it up. But the fans didn't like it.

"Flash forwards are only good when they are in the near future (not decades) in which the audience knows, that given how fast the timeline in the story proceeds, that we will catch up to said flash forward naturally. [...]

It's like the writers wanted to destroy everything you love about the characters. They knew you'd be upset. So they introduced a flash forward to help you cope with their terrible creative decisions," Redditor Hookmsnbeiishh said.

Still, everybody agrees that they are happy there is one more season of their beloved show. It's just not quite what they were expecting to see.

The next episode titled The Princess and the Plea airs on May 19.
