The determination to make everything the right way truly deserves praise.

One of the most notable storylines for The Boys ' Homelander in season 2 of the show was his relationship with Stormfront.

Like any other cliché, The Boys managed to take a good old enemies-to-lovers trope and make it something new and refreshing with these two characters.

As admirable as the writers' skills are, that's not what the majority of viewers are raving about. It's the famous mid-air sex scene in season 2 Episode 5 of the show, which would definitely top any superhero sex scene ratings if such ratings existed.

Don't be embarrassed to express your excitement, because even Antony Starr, who plays Homelander on the show and had to get used to any kind of madness on set, couldn't help it.

In his interview with TVLine back in 2020, the actor called this scene "absolutely bonkers" and explained how it made him believe they could get away with absolutely anything:

"I don't know where the parameters are, to be honest. I think if we do it in the right way, we can get away with anything, and that's one of those things. Superheroes having sex in mid-air is pretty bananas".

However, the scene itself is not as exciting as one of the details that fans have noticed now that they have seen it again. Once the initial shock had worn off, fans were able to notice something that made the moment twice as fun to watch.

Do you know the anecdote about some men keeping their socks on during intercourse? Well, it looks like Homelander is taking it a step further and leaves his boots on too!

The same goes for Stormfront, as she's seen hanging in the air with hers on as well.

Whether the couple had to stop the act just to take off their boots, take off their pants, and then put the boots back on is unclear.

If they did, it was left to the imagination of the audience. Fortunately, the imagination worked well enough that Homelander's greater fear of having cold feet became a headcanon for many.

To see what else Homelander might be afraid of, check out The Boys season 4. There is no official release date yet, but it has been confirmed that the season is in the final stages of post-production.

Keep an eye out for the next updates!
