Some of you might find it shocking — because we certainly did! — but Adam Sandler, one of Hollywood’s most notorious comedy actors, singlehandedly earned more than some of his most famous colleagues, combined. The actor booked a phenomenal $73M all for himself in 2023 alone, leaving the others in the dust.
For reference, his closest competitor was Margot Robbie who came second, but it’s not even close: for her wildly successful $1B Barbie, the actress “only” earned $59M. What’s the secret to Sandler’s success, we hear you asking? Unlike most other big-name actors, he had caught up to Netflix’s lucrative deals and made use of them.
Adam Sandler’s staggering earnings came from the four (!) Netflix movies he did in 2023: Murder Mystery 2, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, Leo, and Spaceman. Altogether, they brought the actor more money than he could need.

Tom Cruise with his new Mission: Impossible earned the third place and a solid $45M to compliment his eyes, followed by Ryan Gosling and Matt Damon with $43M each.
Jennifer Aniston and her $42M have Leonardo DiCaprio and Jason Statham on her tail with their $41M each. Ben Affleck and Denzel Washington close the list with $38M and $24M, respectively. Combined, the ten highest-paid Hollywood actors of 2023 have brought home over $449M, more than Marvel’s been earning lately.
