HIMYM Fans Can’t Stop Coming Up With Alternatives After a Terrible Series Finale

One of the fans on Reddit suggested that if Robin didn’t exist or Ted would never have met her, he and Victoria would’ve been an endgame. Many fans supported this idea.
The whole plot of the show is Ted finding his true love. And along the way, he dates a lot of different women. Some of them may be questionable (we're looking at you, Zoey). Others could really be his future wives.
One of them was Victoria. She was a baker, whom Ted met in Season 1 at the wedding of his friends Stuart and Claudia. They had a fling that ended shortly after the wedding.
However, later, they started dating. In episode 16 of the first season, Victoria was offered a fellowship in Germany and decided to take this opportunity. This and Ted’s affair with Robin ended their relationship.
In Season 7, they meet again, and Ted realizes that he still has feelings for Victoria. They start dating again; but later she tells him that he has to choose between her and his friendship with Robin. He picked the last one. And that’s how it ended.
But what if Robin didn’t exist? Would Ted end up with Victoria? After all, in S7E27, he says that Victoria is the only woman he dated who could be “the one.” Fans collectively agree that this would definitely be possible.

And while this ending seems reasonable, we may never know the truth. As we all know, Robin was always in the back of Ted’s mind. And she played a huge role in his life, not only as a love interest, but also as a direct cause of his meeting with Tracy.
If Robin never existed, she wouldn’t have a wedding with Barney, and Tracy would never show up on that platform. So the show can’t exist without Robin.
