Beware Bridgerton fans, there’s something you might like. While season 3 of Netflix ’s hit show is still in the making, it’s time to focus on a new series that can scratch that Bridgerton itch.

Reign is a show that premiered 10 years ago but didn't get as much recognition as it could have. Ask anyone about Bridgerton and they might have heard of it, but Reign is the show that was the first in the genre.

The CW historical drama focuses on Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland, played by Adelaide Cade, as she deals with both her romantic life and serious country affairs. Mary's character is actually very likable. She is wise and strong-willed and her life really inspires the audience. She is shown as a true fighter.

The show was released in 2013 and ran for 4 seasons before it was canceled in 2017. Hardcore Reign fans are sure that the show was unfortunately released not in the right time. And if it had premiered on a different network or on a powerful streaming platform, the show would have been a bigger success. But the CW handled it poorly.

Reign has it all: steamy scenes, historical drama, dynamic and complex characters, plenty of romance, and jaw-dropping outfits. And all of this is set in this beautiful era.
