Apple TV+ dropped Ted Lasso season 3 trailer on Monday, February 27th, and fans went ecstatic. People are saying that "it feels like forever" since season 2 ended, and they are in big need of a "pick-me-up" show just like this one.
From being called "the most wholesome TV show out there" to looking for the smallest details to find out more about the plot, there was little to no criticism at all. Well, almost. Those who follow British soccer teams in real life quickly spotted one detail that makes this trailer highly unrealistic.
Yep, that's right. Fictional Chelsea scores in the trailer (which one would call a miracle on its own) and not only that: they score just as much as they did for the whole month of February in real life.
People watching Ted Lasso for the plot may not even notice it. However, those actually familiar with soccer teams are already taking the chance to poke at the Blues and make snarky comments online. Some fans are going as hard as saying that they could not imagine how embarrassing it would be for Chelsea to lose even in the Ted Lasso universe.
Don't worry, it's all in good spirits! Both the show and soccer fans are taking this very lightheartedly.
Even the local Chelsea fans admit that their team didn't do their best, so Ted Lasso scenes may be their only real chance for the win.

The real-life British team Chelsea lost 3 out of 5 games in February and managed to score 1 in a game against West Ham United. Will their fictional teammates have more success against Richardson in season 3 of Ted Lasso? We'll have to wait and see.
