Nick Cannon is a natural. He was born to entertain. From his early career with Nickelodeon to his popular improv comedy Wild n Out, Nick Cannon always seems to be having fun, and that makes watching him so entertaining.

For eight seasons, from 2009-2016, Cannon hosted America's Got Talent, for which he reportedly earned $70,000 per episode.

His rather abrupt departure from the show surprised viewers and left many scratching their heads. When Cannon then went on to say he lost his job due to antisemitic remarks he made and apologized this only increased people's confusion. If anything, he seems to be one of the most tolerant and accepting people in the world.

They say you can't keep a good man down, and it wasn't long before Cannon was back to hosting. This was to also be a talent show of sorts, but with a unique twist.

The show's title, The Masked Singer, lends itself to the stealth by which contestants employ in order to maintain anonymity. Cannon introduces celebrity judges to the costumed and masked celebrity contestants. The judges try their best to "unmask" the talented singers.

For Season 5 of the show, viewers were surprised when the lovely and talented Niecy Nash began hosting The Masked Singer. It was revealed that Cannon had contracted Covid and would be taking some time off. If Nash's appearance on the show was surprising, what happened next was downright shocking, but in a good way.

Season 5 began with Nash performing her hosting duties. One of the masked singers was dressed like a bulldog. No one was prepared for the bulldog to remove his mask to reveal Nick Cannon. After the initial shock wore off, Cannon resumed his duties as host.

There has been much speculation about salaries on the show. With celeb contestants, celeb judges, and a celeb host, it can get pretty expensive. From what we can tell, neither contestants nor judges are paid a fixed salary. Pay varies on factors such as experience and let's face it–popularity.

The burning question, however, is how much Nick Cannon gets paid for hosting the show. It seems between hosting duties and serving as executive producer he earns a reported $5,000,000 per season.

Do you think as executive producer he elected to pay himself for being a contestant? Maybe not, it's more likely an attempt like that would have him "wild n out."
