Hello Tomorrow! May As Well Have No Tomorrow At All
Could the show be so bad no one's willing to give it a second chance with a second season?
Hello Tomorrow! is an American science fiction comedy-drama television series that premiered on Apple TV Plus on February 17, 2023.
The show revolves around a retrofuturistic world, where a group of traveling salesmen tries to sell timeshares on the moon.
Even though it just released, has a cast full of talent, and works on a very specific futuristic aesthetic that has a lot of dedicated fans, it still seems to fail to grab the audience's hearts.
With season 1 coming to an end on April, 7th, some are wondering whether the show could get a renewal.
Of course, if Apple Plus sees the potential in it and is satisfied with the numbers, it'll get another season no doubt. Judging by the first score of 57% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes, the series did not perform too badly.
However, looking at social media, it doesn't seem like the show managed to generate enough buzz around it to support itself with a large fanbase.
While the question about season 2 has risen on the Apple Plus subreddit, most viewers were quick to judge and share that they don't really want to see Hello Tomorrow! renewed.
Rather flat characters, boring salesman family drama, and nothing exciting besides the pretty picture do not play in favor of the renewal.
"I think some people were expecting some big deep mysteries when it's really just a con man story but with retrofuturism aesthetics," Redditor xcarex said, explaining why Hello Tomorrow! was not as successful as it was expected.
Whether the show will get renewed we don't know, but don't be too upset if you're among the fans. Apple Plus is known to give second chances to not-so-popular shows as well, so tomorrow may come for Hello Tomorrow! as well.
