Haters Back Off: Elizabeth Olsen Is All For Wanda Redemption Arc
Don't forget that anything is possible in a multiverse.
Wanda Maximoff is one of the most complex and controversial characters of both the comics and MCU. As portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen, Wanda has made Marvel fans cry for her, fear her, support her, and downright hate her.
Perhaps due to the sudden jump of her character's motivations in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there was much debate surrounding her.
One thing is for sure, no one in the fanbase can be neutral about Wanda, it's either one extreme or the other.
Based on what we saw of Wanda when she last appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she seems to be gone for good.
However, with the new rules of the MCU multiverse, fans can expect a comeback in almost any other upcoming movie or show, whether it be a minor cameo or a major storyline.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Olsen herself discussed the possibility of Maximoff's comeback and how she'd like to see her storyline develop:
"I feel like there's a lot more humor to be had with her. She's often the emotion of a story, and I'm curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption," the actress said.
Considering how much both producers and Elizabeth Olsen enjoy working together, the possibility of Wanda's return seems quite high.
The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has already mentioned that he is willing to continue working with Olsen for many more years to come if they can find a way to fit Wanda into one of the stories in the multiverse.
If you are interested in seeing Wanda Maximoff return to the big screen as a character in the MCU, keep an eye out for more news in the future.
In the meantime, you can catch up on other projects involving Elizabeth Olsen, such as the upcoming mini-series Love & Death, which is set to air on April 27th.
