Harry Potter's All Grown Up: Turns Out Daniel Radcliffe Is Insane At Rapping
In addition to his excellent acting, Daniel has another unexpected talent.
Once Daniel Radcliffe appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and this episode became legendary right after its release.
Daniel came to Fallon to talk about his then new project – the fantasy thriller Horns, which was released in 2013. After talking about the movie, Radcliffe decided to show the guests his other talents.
When the actor admitted to Jimmy that he has always been a fan of Eminem and even learned the lyrics to his song The Real Slim Shady, Fallon could not pass up the opportunity.
He immediately asked Daniel to rap.
The host chose Alphabet Aerobics by hip-hop duo Blackalicious, which Jimmy himself described as the most difficult and fastest song possible. But Radcliffe rose to the occasion with surprising ease, rapping almost flawlessly.
For 10 long years, Daniel Radcliffe was Harry Potter to millions of viewers. This image was so ingrained in the actor that it took a long time and a lot of effort to get rid of it.
Radcliffe willingly took on the most unexpected projects, agreeing to very controversial roles, and Horns became one of those unusual movies.
The movie tells the story of a young man named Ig, who cannot forget his deceased beloved Merrin.
For some time, Ig was suspected of Merrin's murder, and in the eyes of the neighbors, Radcliffe's character remained a murderer who escaped justice.
Once, after drinking too much, Ig goes all out and in the morning finds himself with horns growing on his forehead.
With horns he also gained some paranormal abilities: people around Ig lose control of themselves, revealing all their innermost thoughts and desires.
The confidence with which Daniel walks through the dark streets as Ig makes you quickly forget about the ghost of Harry Potter, who relentlessly had been following the actor.
Along with the development of the protagonist, the typical attributes of Radcliffe-Potter disappear: vulnerability and indecision.
And even though Horns did not come close to Harry Potter at the box office, and not everyone liked the movie, it was really interesting to watch Radcliffe's acting and transformation.
