Grey's Anatomy is the kind of show that can be watched over and over again thanks to its fascinating and complex medical cases as well as romantic stories.
However, if there's one thing that fans don't want to see more of, it's the way some characters kiss.
Though there may be more than one candidate in the running for the title of the most awkward kisser, Redditors have spoken, and there is, in fact, one character whose kissing game desperately needs improving.
It's no secret that the popular medical drama is packed with PDA and make-out sessions practically at every turn. However, with 19 seasons and 406 episodes under its belt, not all the steamy scenes bring on the passion, and some are bound to be worse than others.
But the real question is, whose kissing scenes make viewers cringe the most? Well, fans have been debating, and the answer is hardly surprising as it's none other than Dr. Owen Hunt.
Owen, who is played by actor Kevin McKidd, was introduced to Grey's Anatomy in Season 5 and he's been gracing our screens with his over-the-top smooching ever since. Fans have been talking about his kissing technique for years, as it truly is one of a kind (and not in a good way).
First of all, his smackers are always way too aggressive.
In fact, they're so ravenous that it looks like he's trying to devour the other person's face and this has earned him hilarious nicknames in the fandom like Velociraptor and Face Eater. Fans also point out that being on the receiving end of it looks genuinely distressing.
That said, some people admitted that they actually used to like his dramatic way of kissing during the first couple of seasons as it felt somewhat crucial to his relationship and dynamic with Cristina Yang. However, after a while, it became repetitive and unnecessarily intense, as he continued doing the same with every woman he was together with after Cristina.
Secondly, it seems like Owen's go-to solution for every issue that comes up in his relationships is a heavy make-out session and this annoys the fans to no end.
More specifically, viewers have noted that whenever Cristina tries to have a serious conversation with him, he basically pounces on her. Not only is this unhealthy, but it also looks creepy and makes some viewers uncomfortable.
It's impossible to tell whether it's a case of poor acting and kissing skills or if the production team is the culprit. Regardless, it's evident that Owen is deemed the worst kisser on Grey's Anatomy and it's easy to see why.
