You might want to re-watch season 1 to see how many hints you will find yourself.

With the first season of Game Of Thrones premiering back in 2011, it attracted many viewers who were unfamiliar with the books and the lore of the world.

It quickly became one of the most popular shows, thanks to both its explicit nature and the amount of unexpected storyline turns.

Up until the end of season 5, the show followed the books written by George R.R. Martin. However, for the last 3 seasons writers claimed to exhaust the material they had, which led them to take creative freedom with the plot.

Thankfully, the show never lost its appeal to the fans, as D.B. Weiss and David Benioff did everything in their power to continue to surprise viewers with more plot twists.

The most shocking one is probably Jon Snow's true Targaryen ancestry reveal at the end of season 7. Although there was some build-up leading to this moment, most of them were too subtle for fans to notice, especially earlier on in the show.

"Next time I'll see you, you'll be all in black".

"It was always my color".

This dialogue between Robb Stark and Jon Snow himself as early on as in the second episode of season 1, is one that still confuses fans the most.

Even after re-watching the series, some viewers did not understand why the color black was mentioned, if Rhaegar Targaryen, who is revealed to be his real father, is associated with the colors red for his sigil, and white for his hair.

Now, since many Game Of Thrones fans have also catched up with the prequel, which is conveniently focused on the history of Targaryens, the answer became even more clear.

The black color was always significant for Targaryens and became quite a staple for their family, as creators started to explore in season 1 of House Of The Dragon.

After all, all the red accents were just details, which seemed complimentary with the main color. New episodes for House Of The Dragon are rumored to be released no earlier than 2024.

Meanwhile, if you are feeling nostalgic and want to try finding every hint about Jon's real name and family that Game Of Thrones creators gave viewers throughout the show yourself, you can stream it on HBO Max, Hulu, and ESPN Plus.
