Georgie & Mandy Spinoff Should Have This Character or Fans Are Not Watching
The Cooper universe wouldn't be the same without this gorgeous woman.
When The Big Bang Theory first aired, its target audience was about the same age as the main characters. Ten seasons passed, the fans of the show have matured along with the characters. The writers of TBBT, Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, along with the CBS network, decided that the audience would watch the spin-off about Sheldon's childhood in Texas in the 1980s along with the main show. And the audience did watch.
In the last episode of Young Sheldon, the main character goes to Caltech. One of the teachers asks him if he is lost, to which Sheldon replies: "No. I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be." You could say the same thing about the end of the show.
What Will Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage Be About?
With the end of Young Sheldon, fans of the sitcom unexpectedly received the good news. We're in for another Cooper story – Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, a Young Sheldon spin-off, is expected to be released in the fall of 2024.
In Young Sheldon, Georgie and Mandy met at Meemaw's Laundromat and began a relationship. After learning that Georgie had lied about his age, Mandy initially wanted to leave him, but then found out she was pregnant and changed her mind.
Mandy has a complicated relationship with her family and a journalism background, which will allow the spin-off to explore conflicts with her parents and career ambitions, among other things.
Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage Should Feature One Fan-Favorite Character
Although the show doesn't even have an exact release date yet, fans have already come to a general consensus on which character they definitely want to see in the spinoff. Meemaw, of course.
“I really hope they include "Meemaw." One thing I love about Chuck Lorre is the relationships he builds. [...] I LOVE Mandy and Meemaw's relationship,” Reddit user Msheehan419 wrote.
No word yet on whether Annie Potts, who played Meemaw in Young Sheldon, will return to the spinoff, but the creators of the new project should at least think about inviting the character so beloved by fans, at least as a guest star.
